A digital impression is created based on a series of digital pictures or videos. These sets of images are processed by a special software and used to develop an exact illustration of your mouth.

How We Take Digital Impressions at North Alabama Smiles

First, we will isolate the area that requires an impression and then sprinkle the tooth/teeth with a special powder. Next, we will use a wand-like device to capture the required digital images. 

This process takes between 30 seconds and 2 minutes based on the number of teeth that need to be captured. After taking the scans, we will send them to the dental lab for the fabrication of your customized restoration.
